Missed You!!!

This Friday into Saturday was our first night without our little princess. I had to go to Buffalo, NY for a work event and Erik had to work early Saturday morning so grandma offered to take her overnight. Grandma and grandpa took very good care of little Ella. Grandma was concerned that she might wake up in the middle of the night and I reassured her on several occasions that she would sleep throughout. Much to Grandma's surprise she slept through the night. What can I say...a mother always knows!!! Ha Ha Ha!!!!! Grandma and grandpa had a blast with Ella and from what I hear, Ella enjoyed their company as much as they did hers. Uncle Kyle was even able to spend some time with his little niece. I think I must have checked in about a dozen times to see how she was doing. Can you tell I missed her dearly? I couldn't wait to pick her up and hold her in my arms. Here are some photos taken at grandmas and grandpas house today when Erik and I went to pick her up.

Look...I Can Roll

This evening right before dinner I put Ella on her play mat and witnessed her rolling over for the first time. Erik had spotted her rolling over a few days ago but this was the first time I have really seen her do it. I am grateful that I was able to get to my camera in the nick of time. We are so glad to see that Ella is right on schedule with her developments. On another note, I was changing her diaper this evening and she started grabbing at one of her feet. This is also something new.

Bathtime is Fun

Ella really enjoys her baths and has a ball splashing all over the place. She especially enjoys getting her hair washed. Giving her a bath at night is great for us as well because it helps relax her and makes her wind down. We are still using the infant tub right now but she is so chunky that she no longer fits in it properly. Since she still can't sit up completely on her own, we'll have to go shopping for another alternative. Hopefully something that we will be able to put in the "big girl" tub.

Experimenting with Cereal

Erik and I are trying to get little Ella more familiar with baby cereal. Let's just say at this point it is still a work in progress. Every time I try giving it to her she ends up having a major meltdown and ends up wearing most of it on her face as you can see in the photo. Not sure what that is about but we will keep experimenting with it. Mommy gave grammy some cereal so she could try giving it to Ella. The first time she gave it to her she wanted nothing to do with it and today when grammy gave it to her she ate it and kept most of it down. Good job grammy and good job Ella!!!
